TGIF
Today's Racial Harmony Day and we kinda-sorta celebrated it in school. There was the food stuff and all that. Not many proper lessons, which is good, but we missed History. Ms Beverly said she was so irritated when she found out she wasn't going to teach us. Aww. :D
It's Marie's birthday today.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARIE CHUA CHU KANG! <3

We bought her a cake. Yum. And OMG the friggin idiots Gill and Rachael smeared the bloody cake on my face! It's not even my birthday. :(
Had a fun day with the Awesome Foursome; Marie, Rachael, Gill and myself. We walked to the Interchange with Ms Bev, Gwen and Nuttaye. Headed to Orchard with them 'cept for Nut.

OH we saw Mr Ng at the MRT station. :O
I bet with Gill a hundred bucks that he would alight at Orchard too, and true enough, he did! Apparently he was going to the MOE. He purposely went into the same carriage as us and Ms Bev used Rachael to block him from her. Hahah. When we got off the train we were standing around deciding where to ehad and he came up to us and shook his EZ link card at all of us and went, "From now on, you all must study hard." We were like, "Uhhh okay.." It was his last day but he's never taught us before. Whatever.

So we went to Taka where Ms Bev took off in her cab and us Awesome Foursome went to Yoshinoya for lunch. After that, we wanted to go to Starbucks. As we were walking we saw this kinda-sorta hot Caucasian guy with his Singaporean looking friends. He was tall. :) Marie turned back and gave me one of her looks.
So we just continued walking to Starbucks and suddenly, lo and behold, Gillian gets tapped on her shoulder! :O Hahah.

It was the friend of that Caucasian guy! Gill was shocked and paranoid as usual and she went, "OMG." I thought they were going to ask us to donate cash or something so I went, "Oh shit." I wanted to buy my Java chip Frapp!! :(
But thankfully, they DIDN'T want money. They introduced themselves as a bunch of guys from RI and they wanted to interview us on our opinion on whether Singapore was an open society or whatever. Something along those lines. Gillian saw the Caucasian guy holding the video cam and she was like, "I don't want, I don't want!"
I thought it was like going to be on TV and stuff but they said it's just within their classroom so we agreed.
One of the guys, the interviewer, asked us something along the lines of, "Do you think Singapore is an open society?"
All of us were like exchanging glances, being blur.(Rachael didn't really understand the question)Until Marie said,"No."
The interviewer says, "Why do you think so?" At the same time they are egging us on for anyone of us to answer them. Then I say, "Like they're very conservative..."
As soon as I give them that answer the Caucasian guy with the videocam and the interviewer both advance towards me and standing right in front of/next to me, I'm so freaked out. I go "omg" softly. And Gillian is laughing. The camera is right in my faec and I instinctively turn away and Gillian says, "Look away, look away!" Hahahah.
Then we go on to talk about how Singaporean look at Homosexuals and we say that when Singaporeans see like for example two guys holding hands on the street, they'll point and laugh and go, "Eeeee they're gay!" or something. Rachael mentions something about it being their culture and I say, "Really?" And she says, "Yeah. The Indians."
I never knew that, but I realise the interviewer is Indian. But I don't say anything, of course.
The interviewer asks us who we're comparing Singapore to when we say Singapore is not open. Rachael says, "Americans?"
Interviewer says, "And have any of you been to America?"
We all say no. Hahah.
So I suggest Australia.
And so blahblahblah talktalktalk, and we're done. And they thank us and we go to Starbucks! :)
Gill said she thinks they asked us because they knew we'd help them whereas most of the adults will decline. I think so too.
At Starbucks, while I was queuing up for my Frapp they are some American guys buying some stuff and I'm talking to Marie. They leave and Marie orders. I spot something on the floor and it's a coin. I pick it up and inspect it. It's an American coin! It's only a cent, but I thought it was pretty cool. It's not every day I find coins on the floor anyway. Although I wish it were. So I keep it. Finders keepers, losers weepers! I try telling Marie about it but as I am doing it she is confused and instead of ordering an Ice blended Mocha and a chocolate eclair, she asks for an Ice Chocolate mocha and a blended eclair. The counter guy and I are like, "Huh?" And Marie is fustrated because I've confused her but I laugh and the counter guy laughs too.
I think we switched seats around the cafe 3 times.

So while we're chilling, talking, laughing, Rachael suddenly shouts to me, "EH your cousin!"
I turn and I see Fonzie! For the clueless, he's my 25 year old cousin, Alphonsus. I turn and I see him and yeah, obviously he sees me and he waves. I smile back. He is talking to his colleague at the counter. I go back to talking to the rest. After a few minutes I check my phone and besides a missed call and message from Sam, there's a message from Fonzie too and he asked me if I wanted anymore Starbucks drinks and to let me know, because he would get it for me.
I thought, Oh My Gosh, he's so nice. Rachael being ever so nosy looks at my message and goes, "OMG SO NIIICEEE!" I say, yeah he is. Gill snatches my phone and wants to tell him to buy lost of stuff. Marie suggested lots of cakes and rubbish. I snatch my phone back it time and tell him It's okay. :) Thanks.
What a thoughtful cousin, I have. Hahah.
Oh wells.
Marie's postponed her party to next week so we're having it next week.
That means I have to go for cat class tomorrow.
:/
I was looking forward to Sentosa.
Just one more week! Starting the countdown.
