A week after the return from Thailand
Chiang Mai, suprisingly, was a blast. Except for the last day when I got up at 5.25am, travelled for 16 hours just to see the bloody Golden Triangle, which just so you know, wasn't Golden, and was NOT a triangle. All we saw was an imaginary "triangle" where three countries- Myannmar, Burma and Thailand meet. We took a photo under the sign that said Golden Triangle and we left. HOW EXCITING. For lunch we had "original tom yum" soup. Sure, it was original. But sure as hell it tasted like shit. No wonder it's ORIGINAL, they probably didn't have spices back then so they just threw in some dirt form the ground, gum off their shoes, webs off the ceilings and maybe eye of newt, dung of elephant or something. Sam commented that it tasted like Tom yum flavoured instant noodles, (probably after you wash your shoes with it) but Fonzie got a little defensive and went, "Don't insult my instant nooodles, okay?!"

Before that we went to the Hot Spring thingy. Sam, my sis and the kids went to boil eggs in the hot spring well. The egg-ish smell made me even more nauseous than I already was since breakfast. So I was pretty sick throughout the whole day. That whole day was a waste of time especially when we went to see the border of Thailand and Burma or something? We didn;t even get to cross it. Just "admire" from 30 metres afar. Finally after that we got to go home. But of course, thanks to Alec the rubbish tour guide, not before we went to see the long neck tribes(I slept in the bus) and bought some of those Thai snacks. Got back to the Royal Princess Hotel at night. Like at 10 plus. Went to the night market for the third time in three nights and bought a Che Guevara tee(at last!), another pair of Thai boxing shorts, and a few souveniers for me mateys. And THAT was the highlight of my day. Saw lots of hot Caucasian guys bargaining. Hotness. That was the last day for me.

First day was MUCH BETTER.

EXCEPT for the guy in the plane seat in front of me who pushed his seat SOO far back I felt like smacking his gorgeously sandy blonde and black hair covered head. Took a picture while Sam was sleeping. Might put up a picture someday. Going to have dinner soon so I gotta try and hurry it up. The Royal Princess hotel was so awesome. You step out of it and directly across the road you see Maccas(McDonalds) and Subway. Walk a few metres to your left you get Starbucks. And on the right you have 7 Eleven. I officially pronounced Sam and I the Royalty of Room 225. We had our own Royalty Chairs, Beds and Bathrobes. The water provided at our 4 star Royal Princess Hotel came in Glass bottles. Uber cool. Everytime we finished the two and tehy'd replenish them. And there was the incident with the room service guy! Hahah. We were in the room lazing around and it was about 4 plus there. We got kinda hungry so we ordered sandwiches. When the guy came up to serve us, he passed my cousin the bill and she gave him 500 baht. He took the money, smiled really big and left. My cousin looked at me and I went, "What?" She exclaimed, "HE DIDN'T GIVE ME CHNAGE!"
Me, " How much was it?"
Sam, "200 Baht!"
Me,"And you gave him 500 Baht. I think they charge it directly to the bill and YOU just gave him his tip."
Sam,"WHAT?!"
After eating we decide to wait and see if he's nice enough to come back and return the change. I get bored and walk over ot my sister's room to see what she and the kids are up to. Then a few minutes later I open their door and walk out. Then I see the room service guy holding some cash and smiling really big again. I run into our room and ask my cousin what happened. We're noth laughing for no reason. She said he DID return the change and she gave him a tip and he said thanks. His face was so funny. But Sam's face was the funniest. Dinner that day sucked like hell. Thank God for the sandwiches. We went to the night market after. Saw this Caucasian guy in some American state cap, Mao ZeDong tee and really nice Thai boxing shorts. He looked about 16. Had a blonde mullet. :) I kept contemplating baout whether to buy it and finally, in Haagen Daz when I saw him again, I decided to and Sam bought a pair too. The guy wanted 480 Baht for a pair but our aunt managed to get 2 pairs for 400 Baht. Went back to the Royal Room happy.
Second day was Hot Guy day. So many tourists you wouldn't believe it. I almost couldn't believe me eyes! We went to the elephant place and we fed them and rode them. And we all saw a Rod Stewart look alike. He was a little shorter though. I Saw Italian Mohinder and Izaac look-alikes too! Saw them many times. During the elephant show and during lunch. Pictures! OH and the Thai boxing shorts guy was there too! During lunch I had to escape from a dog that just appeared behind me. I climbed onto the banisters beside me and crossed to the other side of the table while my cousin and some waiter shoo-ed it away. Pretty embarrassing. Fonzie was like, "The things she does to escape." But DUH, I had to escape. River rafting- boring. Went for a Thai body massage after dinner. At first I couldn't take it and started laughing. Sam was laughing too. Then I tried my best to suppress all my laughter and as soon as she started on the arms and back I totally stopped laughing. Then I tipped my masseuse with 100 baht. So did Sam. The next day Sam's dad went back and the people there supposedly all remember us becasue we laughed and were "very kind!". Cool. We went to the night market after. Saw Thai boxing shorts guy again. And on the last day At the night market I saw him again. So everyday I saw him. He was EVERYWHERE.

That's basically it. For everything else, you just had to be there. :)
I'm proud to say I think I'm over Macbeth.
More on that next time.

Au revoir!
